PELVIC FLOOR & CORE
Join Marissa Steiner on Sunday, August 18th from 11am - 12:30pm to learn about basic anatomy, physical alignment, and breathwork used to more intentionally integrate core and pelvic floor muscles. This workshop is all ages, with no yoga experience necessary, and can be used as a compliment to pelvic floor physical therapy.
The benefits of building core strength and integrated pelvic floor are limitless, but let's name a few :
• reduce low back pain
• gain control over leakage
• improved balance and posture
• learn skills to address rib flare and paradoxical breathing
• improve prolapse, hemorrhoids, diastasis recti, and abdominal pressure
We will also discuss when to seek medical attention as well as local resources to support this journey.
Who would benefit from this workshop? The short answer, EVERYONE, however this particular workshop has been created with female anatomy in mind. The longer answer: yogis, runners, cross-fitters, moms and women of all ages — anyone who struggles with common concerns associated with pelvic floor dysfunction, OR anyone who is interested in amplifying their workouts by more intentionally integrating their core.
Cost: $25 (members receive 10% off)

Marissa Steiner 200RYT, LCSW
Marissa is an enthusiastic yogi and avid practitioner of pelvic floor integrated workouts. Five years ago Marissa was diagnosed with a connective tissue disorder (hEDS) and as a result of several related concerns was referred to pelvic floor physical therapy where she worked with her doctor to integrate the skills learned in appointments onto the mat. Since that time she has worked with several other local specialists, online programs, and engaged in personal research to develop strategies that can be accessible for everyone to support their journey through regaining pelvic floor control and building core strength.
